M.D.L. MPF Series Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitors, Non-Inductive

The M.D.L. MPF Series uses exactly the same metallized polypropylene film, OFC copper leads and basic manufacturing process as the MPT Series.

After winding, the capacitor is flattened to form an axial flat oval profile. Its lower body height provides greater installation flexibility, making it suitable for loudspeaker crossover networks, car audio systems, audio filtering circuits and electronic equipment with limited installation space.

Special Note: We use OFC oxygen-free copper leads. Low-end MPF capacitors on the market typically use aluminum or iron leads. All M.D.L. capacitors sold by our company use OFC oxygen-free copper leads. You can distinguish genuine products from counterfeit ones by scratching off the plating on the leads or using a magnet.

M.D.L. MPF Type Metallized polypropylene Capacitors

The MPF and MPT Series use the same materials, share the same basic electrical characteristics and belong to the same performance class. Their primary difference is the final body-forming process.

The MPT Series has an axial round tubular body. The MPF Series undergoes an additional flattening process after winding, forming a flat oval profile. This process reduces the gaps between the internal film layers and creates a more compact structure, while the basic electrical performance remains comparable to the MPT Series.

The MPF is therefore not positioned as a higher-grade or upgraded version of the MPT. Customers can select between the two series according to available board space, installation height, body shape and wiring requirements.

The MPF Series features a non-inductive winding construction that helps minimize parasitic inductance. Its metallized polypropylene film provides low loss, stable capacitance, good frequency characteristics and dependable insulation performance for crossover, filtering, coupling and general signal-processing circuits.

Key specifications:
