M.D.L. MEC Serise Metallized Polyester Film Capacitors, Non-Inductive
The M.D.L. MEC Series uses the same metallized polyester film, OFC copper leads and basic winding process as the MET, MEF and MER Series.
After winding, the capacitor element is flattened and installed inside a rectangular plastic case, creating a radial-lead box-type capacitor for vertical PCB mounting.
【Special Note】: We use OFC oxygen-free copper leads. Low-end MEC capacitors on the market typically use aluminum or iron leads. All M.D.L. capacitors sold by our company use OFC oxygen-free copper leads. You can distinguish genuine products from counterfeit ones by scratching off the plating on the leads or using a magnet.
M.D.L. MEC Series Metallized Polyester Film Capacitors
The MEC Series shares comparable fundamental electrical characteristics with the other ME Series. Its primary differences are the packaging method and mounting direction—not performance grade.
During production, the wound capacitor element is flattened and placed inside a rectangular plastic case. The case provides a uniform body shape, defined lead spacing, good surface insulation and an organized PCB layout.
Both leads extend from the same side of the MEC body for vertical mounting. Compared with the axial MET and MEF Series, the MEC is more suitable for circuit boards requiring defined lead spacing, regular dimensions and vertical installation.
